What Is Poko
Poko is cognitive function and performance support for real life. It starts with the moment that is harder to run than it should be, then helps make the load, pattern and next useful move visible enough to work with.
Poko starts where life is breaking
A lot of support asks people to arrive with a clean explanation. Poko starts earlier than that. You might know you cannot start, cannot finish, cannot keep a plan alive, keep getting overloaded, or keep performing in bursts that cost too much afterwards. That is enough of a starting point. Poko looks at what has to work in real life: attention, decisions, load, fit, behaviour, demand, regulation, recovery and the next move that would make the week more usable.
It is function-first, not label-first
Labels can be useful. They can explain patterns, open doors and help people stop blaming themselves. But a label does not automatically tell you what Tuesday afternoon needs. Function-first support asks what is happening under ordinary demand, what gets too expensive, what pressure changes and what support makes action available again.
What Poko makes visible
Poko is built around visibility. Real weeks hide load in decisions, transitions, messages, waiting points, standards, recovery gaps and social energy. Work systems hide load in meetings, handoffs, ownership and ambiguity. Personal patterns hide load in the gap between intention and action. Poko gives those things language without turning the person into a problem to fix.
What support looks like now
The current public starting point is Weekly Reset: a live ADHD-friendly weekly support rhythm with replay, private prompts and a personalised brief. Resources explain the ideas. Weekly Reset helps apply them to the week in front of you.
Why this is different from productivity advice
Productivity advice often assumes stable attention, stable energy and a clean environment. Poko assumes real life. The question is not how to become perfectly consistent. The question is what conditions make the useful move easier to reach when life is noisy, capacity changes and the plan has to survive pressure.
How to use this
- Name the part of life that is hardest to run right now.
- Notice whether the issue is load, fit, demand, regulation, recovery or the next move.
- Start with the closest support, not the perfect explanation.
