When To Seek Urgent Or Clinical Support

Seek urgent or clinical support when the need is about safety, crisis, diagnosis, treatment, medical advice or risk.

Use urgent support for immediate risk

If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact emergency services or local crisis support. Do not wait for a resource, replay, weekly session or planning tool. Urgent risk needs urgent help.

Use clinical support for assessment and treatment

If you need diagnosis, treatment, therapy, medication advice, medical advice or a clinical opinion, use an appropriate qualified professional. Poko resources can help you describe what is hard to run, but they cannot assess or treat the underlying condition.

Use the right level of support for the job

A weekly planning support can help when the week is overloaded, unclear or hard to follow through. It is not the right container for crisis, safety planning, trauma processing, medical decisions or high-risk situations. Matching the level of support to the need is part of safe design.

Signs this may be outside Poko scope

Consider outside support when there is risk of harm, severe distress, inability to stay safe, urgent clinical concern, medical symptoms, medication questions, need for diagnosis, or a situation that needs professional monitoring. If you are unsure, choose the safer door.

Poko can still help later

Once the right support is in place, Poko may still help with practical function: planning, load visibility, follow-through, recovery and workability. But safety and clinical needs come first.
