AHPRA ADVERTISING / CONSUMER CLAIMS

Follow the evidence.

A public record of what we checked in Poko’s advertising, what the evidence supports, and what still needs a decision.

01

WHAT WAS ACTUALLY CHECKED

Scope before conclusions.

Eight selected live initial HTML pages, current website source, and existing evidence records. This is a source-informed advertising review, not a whole-site compliance conclusion.

Ahpra advertising requirements concern regulated health services and businesses that provide them. Which Poko material falls within that scope needs an accountable assessment; consumer-law accuracy remains relevant to the wider offering.

Not reviewed in this baseline

  • Paid ads and creative versions
  • Social media and third-party listings
  • Email sequences
  • Practitioner registration and qualifications
  • Complete hydrated website and checkout behaviour
  • Independent human/legal sign-off

A live page and a prepared source change are different evidence. Unreviewed does not mean compliant, non-compliant, or not applicable.

FINDING → EVIDENCE → ACTION

The record, including its gaps.

“Source observed” records a narrow observation, not a compliance pass. Every item still needs the review described below.

PA-01What Poko provides, and what an independent practitioner providesReview required
Observation
Selected live GP and psychology initial HTML states that independent providers supply clinical care. Current source contains clearer provider boundaries.
Limits and open question
Some live introductory and search text still names assessments and clinical care in ways that could suggest Poko provides them. A disclaimer elsewhere does not resolve the overall impression.
Next action
Publish the prepared boundary corrections, then review titles, search snippets, body copy, structured data, and the whole customer journey together.
Accountable owner
Dave Morris
PA-02Qualifications, titles, and the clinic descriptionReview required
Observation
The current homepage source describes Poko as a cognitive function and performance clinic. The About page presents the founder’s background.
Limits and open question
This entry does not verify registration, qualifications, protected titles, or what a visitor infers from “clinic”. No regulatory determination is recorded.
Next action
Dave and an appropriately qualified reviewer must verify credentials and the impression created by the full description before closing this item.
Accountable owner
Dave Morris
PA-03Claims about results and the evidence behind themReview required
Observation
Poko has an Evidence & Claims page and a versioned Weekly Reset practitioner evidence register.
Limits and open question
A model, academic reference, or software test does not establish a treatment effect or a Poko customer outcome. The efficacy of every public claim has not been independently reviewed.
Next action
Link each material outcome claim to applicable evidence, its limits, the exact wording, and a named human decision. Review the claim before and after editing.
Accountable owner
Dave Morris
PA-04Photos, reviews, and testimonialsReview required
Observation
The homepage uses illustrative audience portraits, not a published record of customer outcomes. Internal asset provenance is retained.
Limits and open question
No complete inventory of reviews, video, before-and-after content, or controlled social channels has been reviewed here. Photographs can still affect the overall impression.
Next action
Check imagery and its surrounding copy for implied outcomes or endorsements. Review any clinical testimonials on channels Poko controls. Do not present illustrative people as actual clients.
Accountable owner
Dave Morris
PA-05Prices, offers, and the decision to bookSource observed
Observation
The 2 November source correction pass reconciled Weekly Reset prices with the current catalogue and removed expired offer copy. Design Partner starter funding is distinct from the partnership agreement.
Limits and open question
These are dated source and fixture observations, not proof that every live ad, checkout, refund term, or booking journey matches. An offer is not automatically appropriate for a regulated health service.
Next action
After publication, compare ads, landing pages, terms, checkout totals, renewal, cancellation, and booking conditions. Review inducements and pressure in the actual service context.
Accountable owner
Dave Morris
PA-06Screens, coaching, and informed choiceSource observed
Observation
Selected live screening initial HTML describes free functional screens and says they are not diagnosis, clinical assessment, or triage. Current source describes independent clinical options separately.
Limits and open question
This review did not validate an instrument, assess individual advice, or establish how every user interprets the result.
Next action
Keep the choice to stop, keep results, seek independent care, or purchase nothing visible. Recheck actual results, referral copy, and any practitioner-guided features when they change.
Accountable owner
Dave Morris
PA-07Ads, social posts, email, and external listingsNot reviewed
Observation
This baseline covers eight selected public initial HTML responses plus the source references listed in the record.
Limits and open question
Paid-ad accounts, current ad creative, social feeds, email sequences, booking-platform listings, and third-party sites were not accessed. They cannot be reported as aligned by this review.
Next action
Create a dated inventory of channels and exact creative versions; compare each claim, offer, and landing page. Record whether the advertiser controls the content.
Accountable owner
Dave Morris
PA-08AI claims, privacy, and who is accountableReview required
Observation
Poko maintains a separate public AI register with provider boundaries and unresolved questions.
Limits and open question
This advertising record does not close provider-approval issues, certify data handling, or demonstrate operation of every privacy control. No Ahpra endorsement is implied.
Next action
Keep the AI register linked, review actual data collection and customer-facing claims, and retain separate evidence for technical operation and advertising decisions.
Accountable owner
Dave Morris
PA-09Review history and ongoing responsibilityReview required
Observation
A dated source and public-HTML baseline was collected on 2 November 2026. This public example is prepared from that evidence.
Limits and open question
No independent legal sign-off or recurring advertising-review run is recorded. This review is not a complete audit of Poko’s marketing.
Next action
Dave assigns the human review, records the decision and evidence, and reopens affected entries when services, wording, imagery, prices, or advertising change. Automated findings remain review prompts.

WHAT YOU CAN WALK THROUGH WITH US

A review you can use.
Not a badge to hide behind.

This is our own example of the record we can prepare with a practitioner, within an agreed scope.

A clear advertising inventory

Agree the website, ads, social posts, email, and listings to review. Keep the exact version and capture date.

Claims linked to evidence

See the wording, relevant guidance, supporting material, and what still requires professional judgement.

A practical action record

Keep suggested changes, the responsible person, the review decision, and the history together.

A public view, when appropriate

Choose a useful public summary while keeping private documents and client or patient information access-controlled.

Human review stays part of the work.

A keyword scan can flag wording. It cannot decide the legal status of advertising or replace the advertiser’s responsibility. We agree the deliverables, review responsibility, and any follow-up separately; no automatic monitoring or regulatory approval is included by this example.
